Role Purpose
AECOM GBS is currently looking for RTR Officer (Payroll) who will report to the RTR Team Lead/RTR Manager in Manila and functionally support the Accounting Manager located in US. The qualified candidate performs professional level accounting support, related to the most complex accounting tasks, Advanced level within the scope of the position and Works independently and requires very minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
• Utilize advanced knowledge of accounting to complete more complex journal entries, account reconciliations and reports related to employee benefits/payroll autonomously
• Lead recurring meetings, unaccompanied by a senior, with Benefits and Payroll partners to explain General Ledger variances, agree on corrective action and confirm completion of said action
• Lead work group through knowledge in area of specialization, which includes reviewing and approving work of more junior accountants in a supervisory capacity
• Ensure compliance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles and company policies and procedures
• Administration of ADP General Ledger system
• Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with accuracy and timeliness of critical deadlines
• Work independently on general direction from Manager
• Perform professional-level accounting support
• Document and analyze current accounting procedures and recommend process improvements as necessary
• Provides leadership for the work group through knowledge in area of specialization, coordinating work of others
• May lead one or more teams in the delivery of work efforts that are often complex
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance
• With at least 6+ years of experience as senior accountant in medium or large size company
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Access and Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly detail-oriented and well organized with proven ability to excel in deadline driven work environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems - Oracle E-Business Suite is an advantage
• Experience with employee benefits and payroll balance sheet account reconciliations
• Experience with Human Capital Management (HCM) systems - ADP and CERIDIAN
