The Business Analyst 2 is a developing professional role. Applies specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data. Identifies policy gaps and formulates policies. Interprets data and makes recommendations. Researches and interprets factual information. Identifies inconsistencies in data or results, defines business issues and formulates recommendations on policies, procedures or practices. Integrates established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related industry practices. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Develops working knowledge of industry practices and standards. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own team.
Responsibilities:
Provide end to end support for project and BAU procurement requisitions.
Provide data, presentations and independent analysis for senior management and business heads.
Support the group in producing presentations for management, financial reporting and assisting in other special projects.
Perform review of projects procurement request in accordance with plan and related expenditure approvals
Resolve issue with procurement request.
Perform update of projects financial database.
Collate and finalize list of purchase requisitions for weekly review
Ensure that all projects purchases are budgeted and with proper approval
Analyze data and provide project monthly financial outlook
Report on project financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews
Perform ad-hoc functions
Qualifications:
5 years prior experience in financial services and knowledge of banking products and concepts is a plus but not essential.
Ability to work well in a fast paced environment
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build long term profess
Have previous experience in handling project financials
Knowledge in asset capitalization/amortization
Well-versed/comfortable in Excel spreadsheet analysis/manipulation.
Knowledge in MS Access and SharePoint
Financial and database modeling knowledge
Education:
Graduate of accounting or any finance course. A CPA is an advantage.
