Citi is currently recruiting for a Vice President-level professional with well-rounded knowledge and experience in Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies to play a leading role in the evolution and application of our customized Lean program, CitiLean. Your role will be to manage a team trained in Agile, Lean, and Project Management discipline and partner with Finance and Risk Shared Services (FRSS) Senior Leaders across Citi to drive end-to-end process transformation, putting the customer at the center of the process and designing and enabling change to reinforce that position. Through the application of Agile and Lean tools and techniques, you will identify major pain points, investigate their root causes and provide innovative solutions that transform the client experience. Partnering with the FRSS Automation and Innovation team, you will bring best-of-breed artificial intelligence and robotics solutions that augment processes improved through Lean methodologies. You will become a trusted and independent advisor to the business, upskilling and empowering our people to independently solve problems for the benefit of our clients.
The Process Improvement Sr. Manager accomplishes results through the management of a professional team who integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate.
The role requires
In-depth understanding of how process areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire Finance and Risk Shared Services team.
Basic commercial awareness.
Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.
Responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise.
Involvement in short-term planning and resource planning.
Full management responsibility of a team, which includes management of people with duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations.
In addition, the Process Improvement Sr. Manager will
Support the leadership team in managing the tactical process improvement initiatives and grassroots culture and engagement programs, by compiling and analyzing progress on the various aspects of the re-engineering program.
Compile and analyze the scorecards to ensure 100% accuracy, timeliness and business analysis.
Lead and manage the day-to-day needs of the program which involves tracking progress, removing barriers and providing cross functional leadership associated with continuous improvement.
Lead and manage the day-to-day activities associated with specific process improvement/reengineering efforts.
Be responsible for the tactical execution of medium sized projects, or phases of larger reengineering efforts.
Provide timely and regular communication, and overall project reporting within team, business partners, business leadership and reengineering leadership.
Partner with product business management in prioritizing process improvement initiatives and assisting in handing over to A&I or project implementation team as needed.
Facilitate large end to end, cross functional, process review sessions to understand current state and build future state.
Work with the project teams to assure future state process is solving for business goals and overcoming barriers.
Assist in the management of the Citi-collaborate site.
Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of experience in process improvement and project management and minimum of 12 years total professional experience
Trained and certified in Agile, Lean or Six Sigma, and PMP or PRINCE2 discipline or their equivalent.
Knowledge of PowerBI and other emerging technologies is highly preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Education:
Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.
Training and certification in Agile, Lean or Six Sigma, and PMP or PRINCE2 discipline or their equivalent.
