About the Risk Officer Role:
In this role, you will be effectively managing risks that inhibit the growth and development of the bank.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement risk management policies and controls and limits to ensure exposures are well managed
Assist in the development, review, and updating of policies and procedures for managing particular risk areas
Keep aware of overall corporate goals and key operating plans to properly group risk assessments
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to help develop and drive a sound, open, and proactive risk culture to support management in ensuring key risks are identified, assessed, reported, and managed
To be successful in this Risk Officer job, you should have solid background in risk management, with experience in implementing processes, tools, and systems to mitigate, measure, and report a bank's risk.
Key Requirements:
Minimum of three years of significant work experience in risk management either in operational, credit, enterprise, market and liquidity risk
Understand complex business processes, risks, and controls in manual and automated environments
Strong organisational and analytical skills
Excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong motivation and personal drive to succeed; and can work with considerable autonomy and with a team
