ROLE OVERVIEW
At Benchling, we rely on our Revenue Accounting team to produce timely and accurate financials and to provide understanding and insight into various metrics which inform and drive decision-making. As we are a high-growth technology company, results reported by our revenue team receive significant attention from management, employees, investors, and others.
As we grow our team, we are looking for our first hire in Manila, Philippines. This is a Revenue Accountant role reporting to Revenue Accounting Manager located in San Francisco, CA, USA.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
· Review customer contracts and assess for revenue recognition implications in accordance with ASC 606.
· Integrate Salesforce opportunities into NetSuite and help create sales orders, invoices, and credit memos
· Review billing schedules in NetSuite and ensure that they comply with requirements per the contract.
· Work together with the Collections team on communications with customers and help obtain purchase orders, tax exemption certificates, and other billing-related items
· Partner with Collections, Corporate Accounting, Tax, Sales Operations, FP&A, and other teams across the company, as needed.
ABOUT YOU
· BS/BA in Accounting or equivalent required
· Accounting professional certification preferred
· Experience with and understanding of ASC 606 preferred
· Strong familiarity with ERP systems and integrations is preferred; additional preference for familiarity with NetSuite, Salesforce, and FinancialForce
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to quickly absorb directions and work independently
· Desire to participate in process improvement and documentation improvement initiatives
· Desire to grow with the company
