The People Analytics team purpose is to power Pearson with its most valuable asset - people. We execute on this purpose by delivering data-derived insights that inform talent decisions, improve workforce processes, and promote positive employee experience.
The team is responsible for providing consumer-grade reporting and insights that support the cultural evolution of Pearson as a data-driven decision-making organisation.
About the role
The Reporting and Analytics Senior Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the Pearson enterprise receives a consumer-grade data and reporting offering. More specifically, the successful applicant will:
Develop Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) and Oracle BI Publisher reports, leveraging the Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) application
Provide end-to-end partnership with business stakeholders to deliver the reporting demand - from requirements gathering through to report deployment and business handover
Perform report troubleshooting analysis and resolution, as required
Identify opportunities to improve data processes and reporting output - providing a best-in-class service offering
Undertake periodic coding optimisation activities
Ensure consistency and integrity of reporting output
Create and maintain technical design documentation
Manage workload through a central ticketing process
Perform day to day duties In line with Pearson's technology practices, standards, and procedures
Structure reporting output for integration into insights/analytics applications such as Tableau
What will it take to do the job well?
Given the role is a key enabler of data-driven decision making - the ability to source, codify, and report trusted data are all essential.
What technical experience will it take to do the job well?
Experience working in a data and analytics function
Experience working within a Human Resource function
Experience with Oracle HCM solutions
Experience working with relational databases and query authoring tools such as SQL
Experience with OBIEE reporting
Experience manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets.
Experience with MS Excel (minimum L3 proficiency). Advanced formulas, pivot tables, VBA Macros
Experience additional MS applications such as Access, PowerPoint etc
Professional certifications in any area within data, analytics, and statistics is desirable.
