THE ROLE
This is a part time role.
The Night editor is required to write financial markets copy for our Daily publication.
The hours will be after the US markets close (at 4pm EST) and will include any immediate changes that may hit key stocks after trading hours starting from approximately 5 pm EST.
The goal is to convey insightful information that investors can use to make better decisions.
Responsibilities:
Working collaboratively with the rest of Editorial, Content and Creative Design teams to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of our publications
Maintaining quality standards and editorial tone of voice
Enforcing EXANTE's house style
Ensuring all deadlines are adhered to, and helping the content calendar run to schedule
Detecting inconsistencies in data and figures that accompany copy
When appropriate formatting tables and charts for publication to comply with house style
Performing quality control checks of documents prior to publishing
Requirements
5+ years of reporting and editing experience
Must have experience writing about financial markets
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong research skills
Excellent writing and editing skills
Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet regular deadlines
