We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer in the Philippines to take ownership of the reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency of our AWS-based platform.
 
The Platform
 
Our production environment includes:
 
AWS infrastructure supporting a global SaaS platform
Amazon EKS and Kubernetes-based microservices
Java, Python, and Node.js applications
MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, and Cassandra
CloudFront and S3 for global content delivery
CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and production monitoring
AI, speech, chatbot, and video-learning services
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Junior level support, whereas Senior level own and improve the availability, performance, security, and scalability of our AWS infrastructure.
Able to lead the management and high-level optimization of Kubernetes clusters and production environments.
Build and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform.
Improve CI/CD pipelines to enable frequent and reliable releases.
Lead root-cause analysis for complex incidents and manage critical production issues.
Strengthen observability, alerting, backup, and disaster-recovery practices.
Optimize AWS infrastructure costs while maintaining performance and reliability.
Work closely with international engineering teams to improve operational standards and developer productivity.
Participate in an on-call rotation for critical production issues.
 
Required Qualifications
 
Junior Level: At least 3-4 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or a similar role.
Senior Level: At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or a similar role.
Strong hands-on experience operating production systems on AWS.
Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS deployments.
Experience with Terraform or another Infrastructure-as-Code platform.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
Strong Linux, networking, security, and troubleshooting skills.
Experience supporting distributed, high-availability SaaS systems.
Scripting ability in Python, Bash, or a similar language.
Good written and spoken English.
 
Preferred Experience
 
Experience operating Kafka, Redis, MongoDB, and MySQL in production.
Experience with CloudFront, S3, CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar observability tools.
Experience supporting AI, speech, media-processing, or video-delivery infrastructure.
AWS certification is useful but not required.
