Conducts research on new food products for multiple food categories such as in roasted coffee, bakery, ready to eat, and other food service products
Develops new food products and modifies the existing formulation and process to improve quality and productivity and reduce manufacturing cost
PErforms research and sourcing of new materials and alternatives
Performs testing and assessment of raw materials, packaging, labels, and equipment to new and esisting products
Performs sensory evaluation and physio-chemical analyses on the ingredients and or finished products
Conducts product testing in the lab and develop processing methods in the pilot plant
Performs product scale up and batch production run
Conducts a priduct stability study of the finished products
Establishes standards, specifications and test parameters for finished products, materials, and processes
Carries out product costing and generate a report for review by the immediate superior
Documents all technical specifications of materials and finished products
Maintains all files of R&D and does updates if needed
Performs technology transfer to production and provide product knowledge training to other associates
Provides technical support to toher departments
Performs other duties that may be assigned by the immediate superior
Graduate of B.S. Food Technology
Strong food science and processing fundamentals
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and Food safety standard
Basic culinary background and love for food
Detail oriented and well-organized
