About the role
First Circle is looking for a motivated, positive, and top-notch Quality Engineer to join our Engineering team. Quality Engineer's duties will include designing automation scripts and finding solutions for automation problems. You will also be working closely with the product team in testing our in-house applications ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.
The objectives of the Quality Engineer II are:
Software Engineering The ability to write high-quality code in a programming language, adhering to coding best practices and principles.
Level 1: Is able to write basic procedural code and understands basic OOP concepts. Understands the concepts of functional programming and refactoring.
Software Architecture Ability to make "decisions on the things that are hard to change", e.g. tools, API boundaries, and design of interconnected systems.
Level 1: Understands fundamental concepts for database storage, network latency, memory usage, and APIs. Knows a small set of tools, and understands their strengths and weaknesses.
Software Testing Ability to ensure the high quality of software products with the following attributes:
defects kept within the System Reliability Engineering defect budget,
test, build, and deployments are integrated and automated,
adhering to coding best practices and principles.
Level 1: Able to write simple unit and integration tests. Understands the basic relationship between tests and code. Writes test cases and organizes these into a test suite. Can follow test cases written by others and execute them as well.
Outcome Management Ensuring that the right challenges are tackled at the right time and with efficient use of resources.
Level 1: Coordinates with his senior team member and product managers on projects to define problems, and refine builds; works with others on the team to get input, feedback, and guidance on builds. Delivers high-quality builds under supervision, within the scope of the request, and on time; pays attention to the details and sense-checks the build to ensure that it will solve the customer problem.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or similar field
Knowledge of using Robot Framework or other test automation tools is a plus
Excellent analytical skills
Passion for identifying system flaws
Strong attention to detail

Flexible and willing to adapt to changing priorities
Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical team members
Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus
