Responsibilities
Support User Acceptance Testing, coordinate and centralize issue analysis/resolution
Liaise with end users to provide automated solutions
Evaluation and implementation of software tools
Software installs and upgrades
Provide technical assistance to developers for performance related issues
Review solution design documentation to ensure that requirements stated are correct, unambiguous, and verifiable.
Consult with development to evaluate system interfaces, operational requirements, and performance requirements of overall system.
Define test methods and create test plans for new or updated software releases to determine if functionality is according to documented requirements as well as established standards under both normal and exception conditions.
Recommend design improvements or corrections to throughout the development process.
Maintain effective communication with the development on limitation, capability, performance requirement and hardware interface changes.
Execute test plans and create test reports to describe program evaluation, testing, and correction.
Monitor program performance after implementation to prevent reoccurrence of program operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation.
Conduct compatibility tests with interface programs.
Create test tools that facilitate data gathering and test method execution.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of writing test scripts, code and automated test tools
Excellent technical problem solving and debugging skills
Requires a conceptual technical understanding of financial applications to help analyze problems and communicate with the Application Support Team
Ability to review functional requirements and user stories and translate into test plans
Professional Skills:
Strong self-motivation and willingness to tackle challenging problems
High degree of project ownership
Clear communicator (written and verbal) - ensure ability to write test plans and test cases and to communicate defects to developers and other stakeholders
Understand technical specifications - ensure the ability to translate technical requirements into test plans
Manage deadlines and deliverables - execute test plans and identify ensure the ability to find the bad defects and bugs quickly
Ability to think abstract - to ensure ability to not conform to the norm. Norms do not find bugs quickly.
Experiences in Quality Management Software and Processes
Working knowledge and experience in technical aspects of software solution being tested
Business process understanding
Experience with automated testing tools and manual testing methods
Large enterprise or e-business systems experience.
Working knowledge in database testing in Microsoft SQL Server environments including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored procedures, jobs, triggers and replication
Ability to understand and create clear, concise detail oriented test plans/cases from specifications or verbal communications
