Position Overview:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the quality standard is fully implemented on all processes within the organization efficiently. The Quality Engineer oversees the creation of tests to identify issues with software before the product launch in line with Quality Assurance & Quality Control best practices.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task when working towards deadlines are crucial for the role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
Below are key responsibilities of a Quality Engineer. The duties listed are not to be considered restrictive or complete and nothing should prevent the management to reassess them or make them evolve as requested by the business.
Establish and evolve formal quality processes, ensuring that the team uses industry-accepted best practices.
Participate in quality assurance, including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
Act as a critical point of contact for all quality aspects of releases, providing quality-related services and coordinating quality resources internally and externally.
UI/API Testing and Test Execution in various platforms (Web, Mobile) and in various browsers or simulator.
Develop automated test scripts using TestRigor, Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or Robot Framework (using Selenium and Appium Library) as the primary testing tool. Performance Testing using JMeter.
Execute automated test scripts.
Record problems, issues, or defects following the project's Problem and Issue Management Plan.
Document defects using Azure DevOps.
Work with the application team to resolve any issues arising from the testing process.
Analyze and improve the current testing process and inject possible product & process innovations.
Participate in the release control process (when the application is transferred from the build team to the test team) to ensure that solutions meet business requirements.
Inform the Product Owners and Project Team of any issues that may affect the product's schedule, budget, or quality or testing process.
Qualifications
Education, Professional Skills & Experience
Minimum 4 Years' Experience in Software Quality Testing and Test Automation Development.
Expertise in analyzing business requirements, creating test plan, writing, and executing test cases/scripts, and maintaining test suites.
Senior-Level competency in Selenium, Appium, Robot Framework. Working knowledge in QA Test Framework Development.
Strong automation scripting skills using Java and/or Python.
Proven experience in Test Driven Development (TDD) and ADO.
