Position Summary:
Performs complex testing requiring planning, scheduling and testing for complex solutions to ensure that those meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards. Communicates with product developers and technical support specialists on product issues. Operates under minimal supervision. Does not typically have management responsibilities such as hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews; however, may assist with such decisions and activities.
A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
Develops an understanding of the industry's usage of Infor/Lawson applications and incorporates this into the test requirements, design, cases and scripts.
Performs complex testing and test coordination on complex projects:
Plans, schedules and implements testing projects.
Defines test objectives.
Writes test cases.
Assists other QA Analysts with approach and technical issues.
Performs complex functional, application, regression and performance tests.
Provides metrics and reports on test results and status.
Analyzes and reports overall test status and results.
Tooling and processes:
Evaluates testing tools for potential use and provides training/consulting on the use of testing tools.
Reviews, maintains and creates test coding standards and processes.
Coordinates change control process for zero defect software development.
Coordinates problem management process, including monitoring and reporting on problem resolution.
Defines and documents QA/Testing methodologies and processes.
Mentors quality analysts on methodologies, technologies and problem solving techniques.
What You Will Need:
Required skills:
Bachelor's degree.
Typical requires 5+ years of experience in development, research, product testing or support.
Experience in Quality Assurance, Project Management and Release Management processes.
Proficient in software development processes, models, lifecycles and methodologies.
Proficient creating test designs and test plans.
Proficient with the creation and execution of testcase/scripts. • Proficient with the understanding of various types of testing.
Proficient with defect tracking.
Mastery of testing tools.
Helps to mentor less experienced employees in addition to fostering teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to independently develop and execute comprehensive test plans.
Ability to maintain high quality standards in writing and executing test cases, bug reporting and verification
Strong knowledge and industry-standard QA methodologies, tools, databases and operating systems
Attention to detail, analytical, multi-tasking and organization skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with developers, business analysts and system administrators
Ability to analyze and understand requirements, accurately estimate task durations and meet schedules • Ability and willingness to train other analysts in best QA practices and procedures
