About This Role:
As a QA Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for leading the QA team and overseeing the manual and automation testing processes. This position requires a strong background in both manual and automated testing, as well as previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address defects, drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the QA team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure efficient and effective testing processes.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for both manual and automated testing.
Review and analyze project requirements to create detailed, well-structured test scenarios and test cases.
Coordinate with development and product teams to understand software features and requirements to ensure thorough testing coverage.
Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.
Perform manual testing when necessary to validate new features, identify defects, and ensure overall product quality.
Monitor and track defects, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with developers to facilitate timely issue resolution.
Collaborate with stakeholders to establish quality metrics, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular testing status reports.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the testing process.
Stay updated with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices to continually improve the QA team's capabilities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, including at least 1.5 years in a Lead or supervisory role.
Strong background in both manual and automation testing.
Proven experience in designing and implementing automated test scripts and frameworks.
Proficiency in using automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies is a plus.
ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications are desirable.
