Job Summary:
The Software Test Lead will be responsible for managing the overall quality and testing effort of small to mid-sized projects to an acceptable level of risk by balancing scope, time and quality while maintaining a positive environment that promotes individual development and high-performance standards. You will also be responsible for assessing the accuracy of the business applications within the company through the development and manual execution of test plans and test cases using published methodology and documentation formats. The work environment is globally diverse, collaborative, flexible and fast-paced.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide both quality control techniques and quality assurance practices to help ensure the continued high level of quality in business systems
Collaborate with the Development Technical Infrastructure group to ensure all environments are properly aligned to support testing objectives
Develop, maintain and execute detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
Work with the functional units to define various levels of application testing including functional (positive and negative), load, stress and general regression testing.
Coordinate with the product owners, functional and technical analysts on automated and manual testing; as well as associated Super Users in determining the quality of our applications.
Review business requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
Manage a group of one or more Software Test Specialists
Communicates tasks and priorities to direct reports, management and project stakeholders
Informed; stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 5 years' experience developing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases as well as experience in testing business applications
Preferably Supervisor/Lead 5 years' plus experience managing teammates specializing in IT/Computer - Software or equivalent
Minimum 3 years' experience using tools, i.e. Jira (Atlassian), Selenium, Load Runner, Keynote and Unified Functional Testing (UFT) to perform functional, automated, load, performance, and/or stress testing
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, plan and execute a goal
Must be willing to work night shift schedule
Experience and knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle, Waterfall and Agile methodologies is a plus
