Job Description:
QA Analysts provide testing support for IT projects or operations by building, executing and tracking test plans. They should have an understanding of testing methodologies and technical solutions to enable appropriate operational efficiencies and support quality assurance objectives. QA Analysts also provide production validation support and perform routine work assignments and problem resolution to support other team members.
Primary Responsibilities
Acquires and applies foundational knowledge of the business, its products, and processes.
Develops and executes QA test plans.
Enforces traceability of business and technical requirements through to successful execution of test plans.
Automates QA testing with scripting and tools.
Foundational understanding of a test framework and developing automated test assets, reviewing test automation assets, and interpreting results.
Partners with other team members to debug test assets.
Participates in basic technical initiatives around automated testing to include writing test plans and scripts.
Works with Business and other QA Analysts to ensure proper test assets are being developed and utilized.
Provide Application SME support on cross functional matrixed teams for selected applications.
Adheres to the processes defined in the department regarding testing and test automation tools.
Foundational understanding of security vulnerability and compliance testing/scanning.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree required.
4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Up to 2 years of relevant business support experience.
May require technical training on testing methodologies and test automation frameworks.
