This includes purchasing for raw materials, requisition review, supplier selection, order placement and follow up. Po Description - Purchasing SME is responsible for meeting purchasing needs of an assigned Plant location within Continental ContiTech. This includes purchasing for raw materials, requisition review, supplier selection, order placement and follow up. Potentially taking ownership of global category or higher complexity, scope, spend, contract management and deeper stakeholder accountability. - He/She will be also the first point of contact for all purchasing issues in production and acts as the officer in charge in the absence of his/her immediate Team Lead. - He/She possess basic people management and stakeholder engagement skills. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree - preferably in Engineering, Business or Finance Preferably with knowledgeable in Lean methodologies but not required Knowledgeable in Purchasing and Procurement process Fresh Graduate to one (1) year work experience Experience handling / participating in process improvement initiatives through internship Self starter and shows potential in delivering results Able to work in local and international setting. The Business Area ContiTech develops, produces and markets products, systems and intelligent components made from rubber, plastic, metal and textiles. These products are used in mining, the agricultural industry, railway engineering mechanical and plant engineering, the automotive industry and other important sectors of the future.
