Job Summary:
The Purchase Power Pricing and Tariff Management Specialist is responsible for the design of pass-through tariff structures of the distribution utility, based on policies and rules set forth through regulation. The role provides in-depth analysis of the impact of the design to various stakeholders.
Develops guidelines and procedures for the conduct of cost of service and tariff studies related to the Distribution Utility's (DU) purchased power costs, cross-subsidies, taxes, and policy tariffs.
Develops and creates new and improved worksheet models for the computations of the cost and tariff studies related to DU's purchased power costs, cross-subsidies, taxes, and policy tariffs.
Reviews and consolidates data for regular submission of reportorial requirements related to purchased power costs, cross-subsidies, taxes, and policy tariffs.
Develops, improves and implements streamlined rate-making process.
Participates in disputes and litigations as intervenor or respondent through provision of inputs and rates and participation in hearings and meetings.
Qualifications:
Graduate of Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Engineering, Management, or similar course
Preferably has 2-3 years of relevant work experience
Should pass the Meralco analyst test
Working knowledge on electricity pricing economics, tariff structures, and various regulations affecting pass-through tariffs
Good business communication skills
