Job Description
The primary role of the position is to manage the operation of Swine Communal Farming Project to achieve the targeted business output. He has to manage business partnerships with key farm partners, ensure the protection of Pilmico's business interest, and be able to deliver the Project's financial requirements.
Qualifications
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Must be a graduate of any courses but with preference for below:
1. Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (licensed)
2. BS in Agriculture- Major in Animal Science
3. BS in Animal Husbandry
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
1. At least 2 years exposure in managerial work in a swine farm.
2. Supervisory experience of at least 3 years in a swine farm - at least 500 sow level or above.
CRITICAL SKILLS/REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
1. Good communication skills (verbal and written)
2. Good interpersonal skills
3. Thorough knowledge of all phases of the swine production process
4. Thorough knowledge in farm operations
5. Above average computer skills (word, excel and PowerPoint or its equivalent)
6. Above average numerical skills
7. Detailed oriented with good organizing and coordination skills
8. Good judgment skills/good problem-solving skills
9. Fast paced
10. Very good management abilities
