Xendit is an Indonesian fintech company that provides payment infrastructure across Southeast Asia. Xendit processes payments, runs marketplaces, disburses payroll and loans, detects fraud and helps other businesses grow exponentially. We serve these companies by providing a suite of world-class APIs and a dashboard UI that simplifies processes.
Our main focus is to build the most advanced payment rails for South-east Asia, with a clear goal in mind - to make payments in South-east Asia simple, secure and easy for everyone. We currently serve SMEs to some of the region's largest tech startups and also giant-sized businesses like Samsung. We process millions of transactions monthly, growing 8% month on month for the last 3 years. We are trusted and backed by some of the largest VCs in the world, who invested in Facebook, Slack, Twitch and Grab, and are alumni of the prestigious YCombinator (S15).
Mission
Accuracy
Our team is responsible for the monetisation methods of all of Xendit's payments infrastructure services. We build systems to tackle processes that range from monetising the product, generating official invoices, and collecting outstanding fees from merchants. We do so by designing scalable solutions for integrating multiple products, across multiple entities, through the South East Asia region. We pride ourselves in the accuracy of our reports and statements in order to provide a seamless billing experience for our merchants. Every month we strive to maintain the highest accuracy levels to maintain trust and transparency with our merchants.
Reliability
Every month our team generates more than a thousand official invoices and delivers them on a schedule. Every month the merchant list grows but the billing cycle schedule is maintained for reporting timelines. We keep one step ahead of scalability issues by designing solutions that cater to the continuously growing customer base - we build an iterative, robust system that is prepared to scale with our customer base whilst maintaining reliability of delivery. Having a continuous improvement and problem-solving mindset are hugely beneficial traits for our mission.
Responsibilities * Lead the billing product for Xendit Group across SEA
Be at the forefront of gathering requirements for billing products across regions and regulatory contexts, working closely with local operations teams
Design automated solutions for billing models that are not supported in todays' billing system
Learn and discover about the frictions our customers have when trying to settle their fees
Work very closely with payment product teams in Xendit Group to understand their transaction lifecycle and how to apply an appropriate monetisation model
Continuously improve and iterate on the billing system to prepare for scalability
Lead and collaborate with a group of dedicated developers to implement, audit, and review billing solutions across products and countries
Prioritize and build features based on business impact and expected growth
Figure out resources and stakeholders (operations, sales, customer onboarding teams, etc.) and collaborate extensively with them to drive your product forward and achieve your vision
Continuously measure the accuracy and reliability of the billing system by conducting and establishing audit checks
Manage stakeholder communications in a timely and proactive manner through the stages of product development
Establish the direction and roadmap for making the billing process as seamless and frictionless as possible for all merchants

You may be a good fit if
You have 2+ years of product management experience
You are comfortable with financial figures and foundational accounting principles
You have a naturally investigative mindset to seek out the next improvement ideas for report generation systems
You're great at collaborating and communicating across a company with engineering, operations, sales, finance & accounting, and marketing
You can coordinate on-time delivery of a project to specification across teams where you don't have line-management responsibility
You are hyper-focused on delighting customers with the best possible experience
You are self-driven and have shown the ability to push towards goals as a team leader

Background or experience in a finance related field
An understanding of foundation accounting principles
