Description
Major responsibilities of a Procurement Engineer 1 supporting Strategic Sourcing are as follows:
Facilitation of eSourcing activities
Management of Collection Plans
Creation of Supplier Performance Engineering KPI reports
Collection of CTPAT surveys.
Responsibilities
Duty 1: Metrics, Reporting and Analytics : Demonstrates and effectively applies analytical skills in generating reports and presentations.
Duty 2: System Support and Maintenance : Demonstrates and effectively applies data administrations skills in managing supply chain systems and databases.
Duty 3: eSourcing : demonstrates and effectively applies eSourcing (online reverse auction) as a sourcing tool that helps source parts at best cost.
Duty 4: Engineering Review : Ensure up-to-date and accurate engineering specification details found in engineering drawing and datasheets
Duty 5: Documented Information Management : ensures standard operating procedures are in place and always up-to-date.
Required Skills
Education:
Degree in Electrical, Computer, Electronics and Communications, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
Job Related Experience:
1-year related working experience in Procurement or Manufacturing
Specific Knowledge
Knowledgeable in mechanical and electrical/electronic commodities
Knowledgeable in environmental legislations and similar ex, ROHS, REACH etc
Fair degree of understanding in the field of Supply Chain
Skills:
Negotiation/influencing
Advanced functions in MS Excel
Proficient in other Microsoft office programs: Power Point, Word, Outlook
Interpreting engineering drawings and datasheets (specifications)
Good level communication skills for interacting with technical & non-technical people via email or phone correspondence in fluent English
