PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Directly impacts the bottom line of the account handled and is responsible to deliver a cost budget for major materials and render purchasing services through the following:
Manages procurement activities of the account/group handled to ensure uninterrupted supply at the best long-term buy value. The process involves supply positioning, supply vulnerability maangement, supply partnering and distribution to its final destination (i.e. plants)
Managers and delivers the cost budget and buying prices better than competition.
Manager funds tied-up to inventories of materials and services through constant consultation and interface with Supply Chain Managers, Senior Procurement Managers, Business Managers, Finance Managers of account handled
Builds up knowledge based (technological, political, social, industrial and goverment regulatory, environmental, taxation, etc.) on the local and imported commodity materials and services.
