To successfully push forward in this challenging business, we are looking for a Process Engineer in our customized sampling and development department.
 
We use a wide range of natural materials like sea shells, egg shells, barks, leaves, and feathers. In our sampling and development department we develop new ways to use them to provide designers and clients new ways to use our products.
 
PROCESS ENGINEER
 
Job description
 
Responsible for the execution and attaining the defined objectives of development projects, by executing the following tasks:
Learn, be trained and become familiar in all details of our natural materials.
Learn, be trained and become familiar in all details of chemicals and other materials.
Learn, be trained and become familiar in all details of manufacturing process (manual and machine) including the use of tool, machine and equipment.
Plan sample orders and development projects and assign resources including labor, materials, and others.
Conduct hands-on evaluations and experiments yourself and by assigning and supervising work to operators.
Evaluate new materials, equipment, preparation techniques.
Develop processes with later scale-up to production in mind.
Generate Bill of Materials, Bill of Operations, and work instructions.
Prepare accurate documentation of developed processes for later reproduction in standard operating procedures.
Monitor and report status and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
Train, lead, and direct project team members to ensure objectives are obtained, resources are managed adequately, and compliant, safe, and sustainable work conditions are provided.
Ensure the workplace is always clean and safe.
Ensure standard operating procedures and work instructions are implemented and followed.
Contribute to forming a coherent team and creating good team spirit.
Work extended hours when necessary to finish assigned projects.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by your superior.
Qualifications and experience
Self-motivated, eager to learn to become an expert in all aspects of our diverse natural materials
Bachelor graduate in Industrial Engineering or related engineering course.
Understanding of process development, process standardization and experience in detailed documentation of processes. Your strong willingness to learn is considered equally important.
Proactive and self-motivated with a natural desire to learn, research, find solutions and invent new things by getting physically involved in hands-on execution.
Able to plan multiple experiments or tests to run in parallel and develop relevant work plans.
Familiar with natural materials like seashells, egg shells, barks, leaves, feathers, and other natural materials is beneficial.
Good organizational, leadership, analytical, and English communication skills.
Eye and mindset for detail and quality.
Strong team player with solid computer knowledge, especially in MS Excel, Word, and basic image editing for documentation purposes.
Resourceful, assertive, dedicated, with a sense of urgency to get the job done and willingness to work overtime on short notice if needed.
Knowledge of working in an ISO 9001 regulated environment, additional experience in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is beneficial.
