Duties and Responsibilities:
Checks the equipment status and the production activities.
Monitors production processes and reports to Production Process Engineer any abnormalities observed.
Supervises work of Production, ensuring smooth flow of activities in their work center and ensures that subordinates perform their work safely, on time, at the right quantity and quality.
Interviews applicants for Production workers and conducts orientation of new workers on plant safety programs, documented procedures and work instructions.
Ensures enforcement of safety rules and regulations and implementation of (corrective, preventive and improvement) action plans in his work place.
Evaluates the variances of the actual versus the standard cost and recommends action to Production Process Engineer.
Helps in identifying safety and fire hazards and housekeeping problems and take corrective actions.
Assists Engineering and Maintenance personnel on the assigned activities during shutdown and supervises the shutdown activities in his work area.
Performs other work related functions as maybe assigned by his superior.
