We are Passepartout, a mid-sized manufacturing company located in Cebu/Philippines with 220 employees and growing. Passepartout is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nature Squared with headquarters in Switzerland and a marketing division the UK.

We recently extended our scope to build up the production of pre-defined furniture objects intended for residential and hospitality sectors without compromising quality. We are ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certified.
 
To successfully push forward in this challenging business, we are looking for a Process Engineer to support the operations in our Natural Material Preparation department.
 
We use a wide range of natural materials like sea shells, egg shells, barks, leaves, and feathers. Before they are ready for inlay, they often require material preparation like cleaning, sorting, cutting, etching, dyeing.
 
Over time and with gathered experience, you can become production manager to lead this department.
 
Job Description:
Learn, be trained and become familiar in all details of our natural materials preparations.
Plan orders and assign resources including labor, materials, and others.
Direct the operations and ensure that targets (quality, timely completion, budget) are achieved.
Ensure the executed material preparations and time studies are documented to allow traceability of the process.
Monitor and report status and progress to the production head and project managers in Europe.
Ensure material balance is recorded accurately. Minimize waste and off-cuts. Label products correctly and return to warehouse for inventory.
Become familiar with properties of natural materials, their sources and supply chain network.
Provide trainings for new orders and material preparation techniques.
Participate in the development of new weaving materials, patterns and techniques.
Evaluate new materials, equipment, preparation techniques.
Ensure the workplace is always clean and safe.
Ensure standard operating procedures and work instructions are implemented and followed.
Contribute to forming a coherent team and creating good team spirit.
Qualifications and Experience:
Self-motivated, eager to learn and become an expert in all aspects of our diverse material preparation.
Bachelor graduate in Industrial Engineering or related engineering course.
Experience in detailed documentation of process and material balance. Your willingness to learn is considered equally important.
Familiar with natural materials like sea shells, egg shells, barks, leaves, feathers, and other natural materials is beneficial.
Good organizational, leadership, analytical, and English communication skills.
Eye and mindset for detail and quality.
Strong team player with solid computer knowledge, especially in MS Excel, Word, and basic image editing for documentation purposes.
Resourceful, assertive, dedicated, with a sense of urgency to get the job done and willingness to work overtime on short notice if needed.
Knowledge of working in an ISO 9001 regulated environment, additional experience in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is beneficial.
