QUALITY / PROCESS ENGINEER
 
Position Overview
 
The Quality/Process Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and improving quality systems and manufacturing processes. This role ensures that products meet customer and regulatory requirements, drive continuous improvement, and resolves quality issues through data-driven analysis. The engineer collaborates with crossfunctional teams to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product reliability.
 
Key Responsibilities
Establish, develop and maintain quality standards, procedures, and inspection methods.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Conduct internal audits, process audits, and product audits to ensure compliance.
Analyze quality data and trends to identify improvement opportunities.
Lead Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure timely closure.
Collaborate with suppliers on incoming quality and supplier corrective actions.
Establish, develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes for safety, quality, and efficiency.
Create and update process documentation (work instructions, flowcharts, control plans, PFMEA).
Implement Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, waste elimination).
Monitor process capability (Cp, Cpk) and propose improvements.
Support new product introduction (NPD) and process validation.
Optimize machine parameters, workflow, and material usage to reduce cost and defects.
Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, quality tools, and process standards.
Proficiency in root cause analysis tools (5 Why, Ishikawa, DMAIC).
Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Has good communication skills
Know MS applications well.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electronics, or related field).
Experience in quality assurance, quality control, or process engineering.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Work Environment
Production/manufacturing facility
Requires interaction with operations, QA, engineering, and suppliers
May require shifts or extended hours depending on production needs
