Department Overview: Wholesale Operations Support Services (WOSS) is responsible for all of Wholesale Operations, including risk management, communications, metrics and business analytics, and business initiatives implementation support. The WOSS Technical Writing team writes, edits, and manages supported team procedures while ensuring the procedures maintain a consistent format, voice, and level of detail. Wholesale Operations Support Services (WOSS) has onshore technical writers that create and update procedures and other documentation for all of Wholesale Operations, including risk management, communications, metrics and business analytics, and business initiatives implementation support. The WOSS team is creating a team in Manila, Philippines to handle the publishing function. About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Procedure Writer. The Procedure Writer will work with the onshore technical writers to publish procedures on the Open Text platform. Open Text is a content management application. The WFEGS team will receive notification from the onshore technical writers when a document is ready to be published via an internal website used to track document requests. The publishing request will provide details on the document type, when the task is due, the document itself as well as the details needed to build out the record in Open Text. The Procedure Writer will rely on the technical writing team's publishing standards and the publish request to complete the publishing process. The Procedure Writer will also work closely with the onshore technical writers to obtain further direction or answer any questions they may have. In this role, you will: Participate in establishing documentation guidelines and procedure audits Review regulatory changes or partner with regulatory change agents to proactively identify required updates Maintain document library or repository and update tables in appropriate systems Review changes to business operations for potential impact to other documentation or resources Create, edit and format moderately complex to complex internal manuals, materials, or other documentation related procedures and policies Publish moderately complex web content in accordance to standards Present recommendations for resolving moderately complex to complex problems and projects Assist others to resolve process gaps, providing input and suggestions based on observations Research, review and translate technical information to users Provide guidance to less experienced staff Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals Partner with subject matter professionals to understand business needs as it relates to procedures Job Duties and Responsibilities: Primary (what she/he does 80% of the time) Managing moderately complex to complex content in OpenText within established publishing guidelines. Providing guidance to less experience team members. Adding revision histories and all cross references in content. Channeling and versioning content.
