He/she will be working with line of business (LOB) and insurance carriers and agents to provide timely payment and/or reconciliation of insurance premiums and commissions. We are looking for an experienced (Insurance) Premium Accountant. He/she is responsible for all lines and types of insurance premiums and commissions, providing accurate accounting and reporting of transactions, ensuring financial reporting is in full compliance with US GAAP. Responsibilities include: - Responsible for timely premium accounting and commission processing of all lines and types of insurance premiums and commissions - Research and resolve any old items due to/from insurance carriers and agents - Work with and resolve inquiries from third party service providers and LOB associated with these transactions; provide support and documentation as requested - Assist with month-end close and proper reporting of accounting information to Synchrono Group's General Accounting Team - Ensure the timely, proper and accurate reporting of insurance accounting transactions in a manner consistent with US GAAP - Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned above. Requirements: - Graduate of Accountancy and Accounting Technology - Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant, or CMA is preferred - At least 5 years of relevant experience in United States (U.S.) Property & Casualty Insurance premium accounting is a must - Previous work experience with AIG, QBE or one of the top 25 U.S. Property & Casualty insurance companies is highly preferred - Experience in agency or policy management systems is a plus - Experience in Oracle NetSuite is preferred - Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products - Willing to work on a Work-From-Home arrangement and night shift schedule (8PM - 4AM) - Maintain high degree of security over Company information Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills - Positive attitude - Able to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing and at times demanding work environment - Proactive and committed team player - Detail-oriented - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently and also as a team
