About the Role
The role of the SA is to support IPTel Technical Account Managers (TAM) in their consulting outcomes to ensure customer requirements are met with technical solutions that accurately, and appropriately meet Cisco and IPTel Validated Design principles.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting and actively contributing to, presales customer requirement discovery meetings to detail the requirements/use cases to deliver technical input to scopes.
Building the right services solution (assembling outcomes, deliverables needed to achieve the outcomes), infrastructure recommendations, considerations, and risk mitigation identification, and enabling the solution presentation, providing technical support as required and led by the TAM.
Supporting pricing inputs through defining work packages and supporting costing through Services Catalog and bespoke pricing.
Analysing and constructing sophisticated sales proposals (technical & commercial), creating support documents and collateral needed (case/value realisation) to support the TAM to optimally close business deals.
Productizing repeatable Complex Solutions into a Service Catalog to drive volume, sales agility, and best practice.
The scope is the program, and/or project-oriented, and focuses primarily on deals of high complexity which can potentially include the entire portfolio of Cisco services, including Professional Services (PS), Support Services (SS), Infrastructure Sales (HW), and Managed Services (MS).
The core focus will be on all elements of enterprise networking and competency across WLAN, LAN, WAN, and DC is mandatory.
Managing a pipeline of TAM-led opportunities from a technical and solution perspective.
Leading technical presales workshops to support organisational capability.
The SC works with customers to capture requirements for PS and translate these requirements into a Statement of Work (SoW) outlining the roles and responsibilities of the parties.
Applying extensive knowledge & technical/practitioner expertise of Cisco (or competitors) horizontal, or cross-architectural solutions, to develop effective and competitive offers that result in extended reach consulting and booked business.
Driving knowledge management regarding best practices (knowledge on how to sell and approach complex solutions) on given topics for internal and external use.
Ensuring continuous upgrade of subject matter expertise and actively participating as a specialist on the assigned virtual team(s) and/or solution team(s) including tender bids.
Position Prerequisites
Industry certifications CCIE-RS or equivalent.
3+ years in Technical Sales/Pre-sales related position with (3+ years) technical Solution Architect /Technical key account management experience in Enterprise Networking.
Prior experience within a Cisco Partner or organisation
Proven track record to succeed in a targeted revenue environment
Strong customer engagement skills and consulting experience
Skills in: problem-solving, negotiating, business writing, customer relationship management, conflict resolution, effective presentation, and active listening.
Strong analytical capability.
SME on evaluating and applying Cisco Solutions to fully align to customer opportunities and expectations.
