A new role has just been opened in one of Australia's Leading Training Institutes for a PHP Developer to debug and improve a recently developed and implemented learning management system (Moodle).

The Role:
As our PHP Developer, you will be responsible for designing, coding and modifying our existing student portal, from lay-out to functionality.
You will improve our Student Management system to meet company specifications or to suit our organisation's and students' needs. This includes third party software integration such as Word Press, Salesforce, PayPal and others.
You will improve and create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design clear navigation, and are fast to load (efficient coding essential!).
There are some programming codes you will be writing from "scratch", while other codes you will adapt from other sources to meet business requirements. You will also test the website for functionality and efficiency, while at the same time identify any technical problems.
Technical Expertise and Skills Requirements:
Solid understanding of web application development processes
Extensive background in PHP programming, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and proficiency in web authoring and understanding of database driven websites
Sound Knowledge of LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) and ability to foresee, plan and mitigate performance issues on these technologies
Experience with third party integration
Clear Understanding of Open Source Technologies
Experience with cloud-based hardware/network setup where LMS is installed and ability to monitor/resolve performance issues
Understanding of API integration across multiple platforms
Other Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Vocational Diploma/Short Course Certificate or Bachelor's/College Degree in any field
Motivated and energetic
Creative with knowledge of Design concepts
Enjoys finding solutions to a varying number of challenges
Detail oriented and takes extreme pride in their work
Adaptable and able to pick up new techniques
At least 1.5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in Web design, programming
