The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for administrating payroll systems and collaborating with different departments to uphold the integrity of payroll data and resolve any payroll-related concerns whilst safeguarding confidentiality and data security.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The list below is not exhaustive, and the duties/responsibilities may vary to meet the company's overall objectives.
Process employee payroll accurately and on time.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, legislation, regulations, and tax obligations.
Maintain compliance with payroll policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to obtain necessary payroll data.
Maintain and update employee payroll records, including changes in salary, benefits, and deductions.
Review and reconcile payroll reports for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
Respond to employee inquiries and provide timely and accurate payroll information.
Manage and maintain confidentiality and data security of payroll information.
Utilize payroll software and systems effectively and ensure their proper functioning.
Coordinate with external vendors, such as payroll service providers or tax authorities.
Prepare and submit payroll-related reports, tax filings, and other required documentation.
Assisting with Payroll Tax and Superannuation Lodgements
Payroll systems configuration and maintenance of employee records
Annualised Salary Reconciliations.
Continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years in the same/similar role.
Experience using Pronto and/or Tanda is highly regarded.
Strong understanding of wage calculations, deductions, benefits, and taxation.
Award interpretation experience.
Familiarity with auditing and reconciling payroll records.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve payroll discrepancies.
Strong communication skills to interact with employees, colleagues and external stakeholders.
