About the Role
Working within the People Services function and reporting to the Payroll Manager - Global Lead, this role will be responsible for supporting payroll operations in the APAC region with the main focus on processing the Philippine payroll.
The aim of this role is to ensure the efficient operation of the payroll function, while ensuring a high level of accuracy and full compliance with relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities and Duties include:
Receive and verify all payroll data provided
Process semi-monthly payrolls for Philippines
There is a view to widen the scope of the role to also process monthly payroll for Australia and Singapore in the future
Ensure all employees are paid accurately at all times and in accordance with the company procedures and relevant legislation
Processing new starters and leavers in line with local legislation
Working to very strict deadlines
Respond to enquiries from employees, accurately and professionally
Work closely with third party international payroll & benefit providers
Work closely with HR Operations & Finance teams
Provide support for payroll operational activities
Provide payroll process expertise as a project team member on departmental and cross-functional initiatives
Solve a variety of complex problems, conduct research, gather, and compile information for reports and analyse results
Participate in developing and testing new and/or existing payroll processes and procedures when system and business requirements change
Participate in various payroll audits as required by internal and external audit teams
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Knowledge of Philippine legislation
Knowledge of Year End processes
Knowledge of Workday would be beneficial
Experience of working with Cloudpay or other Payroll Systems
Experience of Concur expense system would be beneficial
Have a proven track record within a high volume payroll environment
Previous experience of processing Australian & Singapore payrolls desirable
Excellent organisation skills and able to prioritise workload
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a broader team
Be proficient in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel
Knowledge of EU payroll would be beneficial
