Summary:
This role will be a specialist in, an accountable for end-to-end administration and processing of payroll, compensation and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of the monthly end to end payroll function (including assisting with outsourced payroll for offshore locations), considering dependencies and downstream impacts, and complying with relevant legislation and other regulatory requirements
Administering and calculating employee benefits, leave entitlements, commissions or incentives including statutory awards, group benefits, termination payments and salary sacrifice arrangements
Preparation of ad-hoc payroll runs, including annual bonus payments, as required
Managing the ATO processes and payments related to employment taxes
Managing the administration of the superannuation clearing house and the payment of employer superannuation contribution obligations
Assist in providing timely, strategic and specialist advice to senior management in relation to payroll, superannuation and employment taxes
Manage the payroll mailbox to provide effective, timely and reliable customer service to employees and business partners
Onboarding and offboarding of staff including assisting in verification checks and calculation of termination payments
Maintaining accurate records and personnel files, including regular checks of data across systems and platforms, for annual audit as well as assisting in the Group's statutory reporting process
Management of staff superannuation plan and related insurance arrangements
Managing worker's compensation policy and claims in partnership with HR
Assist with management of staff share plan awards
Conducting annual salary and benefits reviews and benchmarking activities in conjunction with HR
Administering employee accounts related to staff travel and entertainment (AMEX, etc)
Working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to identify appropriate opportunities for continuous improvement of payroll offering, processes and procedures (including automation) while driving execution of deliverables.
Management reporting for payroll and headcount data for month end results, forecasts, budgets and special projects
Assist with the integration, centralization and standardization of the payroll process across the Group
AL and LSL balance reconciliations as required
Administrating Centrelink online account and superannuation fund default account
Provide assistance to Payroll and Benefits Manager as required
Assist on other adhoc projects and tasks related to Payroll and HR as required
Qualifications and Experience:
Strong understanding of end-to-end best practice payroll processes and procedures including new starter to termination, year-end tax and audit reconciliations as well as payroll and headcount reporting, forecasting and budgeting
Experience working across Australia, including different state-based employee related legislative arrangements, and offshore locations (Singapore, China and HK)
Demonstrated knowledge of employment legislation (including modern awards and employment taxes), taxation, superannuation and statutory requirements
Previous experience with the Dayforce platform are advantageous as well as proven experience with other payroll and HR systems
Skills & Qualities:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires you to balance multiple competing demands on your time while taking ownership and responsibility for still delivering against regular deadlines
Ability to identify, recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives across payroll, Finance and HR in partnership with both internal and external stakeholder

Experience contributing to payroll related projects
Be able to effectively communicate and maintain strong relationships within the Finance and HR teams as well as across all levels of Corporate and Business stakeholders
Outstanding communication skills including verbal and written
