Three Peaks International is a Sydney based staffing solutions partner which provides local and virtual staffing solutions to Australian businesses through outsourcing, recruitment, and migration.
We are looking for analytical, keen to details Payroll Manager that has work experience in large number of employees across Australia. The ideal candidate should have strong and relevant work experience in using XERO, Deputy and Excel for payroll, reports and record tracking details.
Successful candidate will have an opportunity to work with established education program with around 9 centers across Sydney, Australia and has been in the industry for 12 years.
Your Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gather and maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, tax forms, and banking details.
- Work with other departments in relation to the onboarding and offboarding process
- Track and manage employee working hours, overtime, and leave via Deputy and other platforms used
- Verify the accuracy of timekeeping records.
- Calculate gross wages based on hours worked or salary, deductions based on taxes, insurance and other withholdings, applied leave and other benefits in line with employee contract
- Use Xero software to process payroll accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in the calculation and distribution of pay.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and other relevant parties.
- Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records. Prepare and distribute payslips and reports.
- Generate reports for financial and auditing purposes. Provide documentation and reports as needed.
- Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll. Ensure Compliance with year-end reporting
- Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure accurate and seamless payroll processes.
Who are we looking for?
- 2+ years experience working in an accounting and payroll position, preferably for AU firms or private businesses.
- Strong numerical, Microsoft Excel, XERO and Deputy skills
- Experience with Xero on bank feed, invoicing, bills, manual journals, and reporting is essential.
- Experience with preparation of Australian BAS GST, payroll tax and superannuation lodgments (Advantage to have an working experience)
-Basic understanding of Australian payroll obligations and calculations
- Has the ability and willingness to learn new systems and tools, as needed
- Basic accounting knowledge related to Payroll and accrual is an advantage but not necessary.
