The Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the payroll process within an organization. He/She ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll, compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities:
Oversees the entire payroll process, including data entry, payroll calculations, and payroll tax compliance. Ensures that payroll is processed accurately and on time.
For compliance and regulations, stays updated on relevant laws, regulations, and tax requirements related to payroll. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies.
Responsible for managing and maintaining the payroll system, including implementing system upgrades, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring data integrity.
Leads a team of payroll processors, providing guidance, training, and support. Ensures that team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
For reporting and analysis, generates payroll reports and analyze payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. Provides insights and recommendations to senior management based on their analysis.
Works closely with other departments specially Finance, to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes with other business functions.
Identifies and recommend process improvement related to payroll.
