About the Payroll Lead Role:
The Payroll Lead is tasked with overseeing all aspects of payroll transactions and programs, as well as managing employee compensation, safety measures, record-keeping, and ensuring compliance. The individual in this role is expected to uphold a positive company image by delivering courteous, friendly, and efficient service to both team members and customers while maintaining utmost integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce accurate and timely in-house payroll administration in accordance with statutory regulations in addition to ensuring accurate data entry and statistical reporting in a timeline manner and in accordance with standard compliance
Be accountable for processing, checking and signing off on end to end payroll and other related transactions
Update payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job titles, and department/division transfers
Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
Determines payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee income tax and social security taxes, and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments
Balance the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies, reconcile payroll taxes and ensure timely release of employee final pay settlement as per established SLA
Comply with statutory and legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
Conduct payroll reconciliation with Finance and other departments as necessary
Ensure timely remittance of all government mandated contributions (SSS, Phil Health, HDMF)
Maintain payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures
Ensure process documentation is maintained, updated and reviewed periodically
Keep abreast with local labor and tax regulations and if possible, proactively address impact of such on compensation
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree is required
Minimum of 10 years of significant experience in payroll operations with strong knowledge of payroll/HR processes and various payroll applications
Four to five years of managerial experience in payroll operations
Experience in strategic compensation and background in Workday
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and meet multiple tight deadlines
