Position: Payroll Analyst
Location: Manila
This role includes day to day responsibility for the timekeeping and employee data administration function across the operation of Genesys - Philippines branch and other entities in the Asia Pacific region. The role will also assist with the Financial analysis, Insurance Administration and other compliance activities related to these entities.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, the primary responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Perform Payroll processing for identified countries within APAC to be assigned by the manager
Coordinates with HR for New Hire's statutory related documents and tax forms
Handles the enrollment of New Hire's bank account
Responsible for on time payments and posting of statutory contributions
Assist in the releasing of Final pay checks for PH resigned employees
Supply payroll and employee data to our external payroll processing outsourcer (ADP) and liaise with APAC Finance to ensure accuracy and completeness of monthly payroll processing.
Receive and process employee leave requests and ensure records of leave entitlements are accurately maintained
Assist Financial Accountant on local taxation and statutory requirements
Maintain filing system for payroll records and supporting documentation (hard copy and digital files)
Build and maintain effective working relationships with APAC Finance & Accounting Team members, HR Team in APAC and cross functional relationships within SouthEast Asia
Work with internal and external audit and ensure compliance with audit schedule and reporting
Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications/Skills Desired and Preferred:
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's / College Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent
Experience in timekeeping, benefits and statutory administration
Knowledgeable with HRIS Systems (SAP, Peoplesoft, Oracle) and MS Office (pivot, vlookup, etc)
Displays initiative in the carrying out of their duties, constantly looking for ways to improve processes to promote efficiency or strengthen control
Good communication skills (written and spoken)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Can work with minimal supervision and ability to organize and prioritize workload.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced work environment
Willing to work on extended hours, weekends and holidays as may be necessary
