We're looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Paralegal and Litigation support to work with our growing team in our beautiful office in Makati.
What would you do
Due to strong growth with one of our existing legal partners in Australia, an exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and dynamic Part-time Paralegal & Litigation Support to join our team.
This opportunity would suit those with an exceptional eye for detail and who can work to strict deadlines
Responsibilities:
Ensure that our solicitors are supported in their paralegal workload
Collate and organize material required for brief to barristers
Preparing court books and court indexes where required
Proof-reading legal documents & correspondence, and Legal research
Reviewing discovery and material produced on subpoena
Prep of draft submissions and legal papers
Doing legal research on topical areas of the law that will be used for marketing material and purposes
Facilitating after-hours client communication
Reviewing emails of lawyers on leave and replying and or redirecting email enquiries during leave periods of employed lawyers
Other ad hoc duties
Requirements:
Graduate of Law preferred
Previous experience as a paralegal or lawyer
Preferable experience with an Australian law firm
Exceptional spoken and written English skills are a must
Accuracy and efficiency in a high-volume environment
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Strong prioritization skills in order to meet established deadlines
Must work well independently and in a team-oriented environment
Willing to work a flexible schedule if/when needed
Must possess and maintain regular and punctual attendance
