Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system. Conduct research and make recommendations on database products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts. Work with the application development team/ System Administrator Teams to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures. Creating primary database storage structures (tablespaces) after application developers have designed an application. What you should have: 3 years+ experience of Oracle Database technology as a DBA. Minimum of 3 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining complex databases, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods. Experience working knowledge of Microsoft SQL servers / Oracle Databases. Experience in Designing, Backup & Recovery, Performance Tuning and Oracle Database. Experience in Scripting skills in the following arenas: SQL, BASH, Shell, Python or Perl Experience Linux/Unix Operating Systems support experience.
