Job Description
Schedule and manage bookings for inbound and outbound cargo shipments.
Ensure proper documentation for each shipment (e.g., booking confirmations, shipping instructions).
Monitor cargo from the moment of booking until delivery, ensuring compliance with schedules and customer requirements.
Liase with shipping lines and port authorities.
Track cargo movement through ports and ensure efficient handling and clearance processes.
Schedule and communicate with truckers for timely pick-up and delivery of goods.
Oversee the coordination with laborers for loading/unloading of cargo at various points (warehouses, ports, etc.).
Ensure that all transportation and handling operations are performed in a safe and efficient manner.
Communicate with shipping lines to confirm schedules, availability, and routing.
Address and resolve any shipping line issues that may impact the shipment timeline.
Provide timely updates to customers regarding the status of their shipments.
Resolve any customer queries or concerns related to booking or delivery timelines.
Maintain accurate records of all cargo bookings, movements, and interactions.
Prepare and submit regular status reports on cargo progress to the Operations Manager.
Ensure all required documents for shipments are completed and stored correctly.
Address and resolve operational challenges that arise during cargo handling, including delays, shipping errors, or coordination gaps.
