About the Role
Responsible for the overall operational performance of a major functional or geographical segment of the company. Operations represent significant financial risk and performance has major impact on group and company. Typically manages middle managers and/or upper middle managers, possibly in specialized roles. Participates in the development and implementation of long-term strategies, policies and technological advancements. Considered an authority for complex technical, operational and processing functions with cross-group impact. Should be an operations and industry expert and may serve on company-wide tasks or project teams that steer the company's operational direction.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Operations Area Manager 1 (OAM1) will support business functions within Auto Lending India & Philippines (I&P) business line and diverse Support functions while solving for business challenges
Lead relationships with Global Business Partners
Lead initiatives for I&P and International Auto Lending business
Conceptualize, agree and drive strategies at operational level to add value to the business
Provides leadership in the integration/ implementation of programs/ services/ initiatives with cross functional business partners, recognizing the significance of competing priorities and strategies and adjusting as necessary
Interacts with leadership and stakeholders in India and Stateside to establish strategic plans and objectives for program management
To build and structure a comprehensive organizational design
Connect, communicate and influence senior leaders at state side and I&P
Provide insights and assist leaders in building effective process metrics
Manage Business Initiatives and series of programs associated with business strategies to obtain benefits and controls
Responsible for leading project teams and managing all activities in project life-cycle across multiple departments within Auto Line of Business
Works with users to understand complex problems and focuses on bringing issues to resolution, escalating as necessary to meet timelines
Show commitment to working with cross-functional teams across local and global offices.
Develops metrics and tracks/ evaluates performance of processes, programs, services and initiatives
Strategize, plan and execute a variety of programs including
Finance, Operational Excellence, Process improvement and redesign, Change management, D&I, Recognition, TM Engagement, Risk Management etc.
Facilitate key decision making by Auto Lending leaders
Collect, analyze and represent data in various reports and decks
Understand data, identify gaps and generate timely alerts to reduce/ eliminate gaps/ risks
Maintain database to store historic trends/ patterns, analysis past data and produce future trends/ opportunities
Facilitate creation of goals for TMs/ Managers/ Leaders in alignment with business goals
Support policy and procedure administration and adherence on behalf of teams across multiple lines of business, including Global Solutions Program Office, Compliance Operations Risk, Risk Management, EIT and Legal
Market Skills and Certifications
Essential Qualifications
University: Degree in Business or related discipline, MBA preferable
Relevant Experience: 17+ years of relevant work experience, preferably within the US Auto Lending business / BFSI Domain.
Market Skills and Certifications
Good understanding of Lending Product life cycle - Loan production: origination, applications, processing, underwriting, closing and funding.
Knowledge and understanding of Consumer Lending product lines.
Exhibits strong relationship/ negotiation orientation with senior level business partners globally.
Senior level experience in or Exposure to Change Management/ Program management/Solutioning at global level preferred.
Excellent Communication, planning and organizing skills.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong stakeholder management and stateside partnership skills.
Experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services.
Exposure to/ appreciation of technology platforms/ applications in a client role preferred.
BPR/ transformation experience at global level preferred.
