operations and Maintenance Engineer (electrical engineer)SM Engineering Design and Development

The Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Engineer (Registered Electrical Engineer) will support in managing all electrical and electronics engineering tasks, initiatives, and programs for the safe, efficient and economic operation and maintenance of building facilities.
Responsibilities
• Supervise and monitor preventive, breakdown and predictive maintenance services specific to electrical and electronics engineering
• Ensure the efficient operation of building engineering equipment and systems within approved, acceptable, mandated and normal parameters
• Reviews the daily log of work accomplishments and activities of service contractors, and timely evaluates proposals for troubleshooting or repairing damaged or defective equipment parts or systems and endorses such for approval and implementation
• Coordinates the works of electrical and electronics contractors with other trades in support of space planning, alterations, and improvement projects
• Set annual reduction targets and monitor activities that lead to cost savings of the energy conservation program/committee
• Ensures the timely submissions for new or renewal of government certifications or permit applications
• Estimates annually the building equipment and systems operating expenses, utility costs, and capital expense budget needed for spare parts, tools, or supplies
• Reviews service contracts. In contracting new services, prepares for approval the project concept, work performance statements, budgetary cost estimates, project timeline, technical evaluation criteria, and service level agreements
• Lodges purchase requests of equipment, tools, spare parts, supplies, and materials as needed, and monitors inventory of regularly used items to ensure sufficient stock
• Lead management of change to ensure continuous improvements of processes and systems that are responsive to the changing work environment, priorities, and management direction
• Oversee the satisfactory completion of projects and tasks of administered service contractors

• Evaluates periodically the performance of contractors through the Service Level Agreement
• Ensure timely delivery and complete fulfillment of internal customers' needs

• Develop a hazard and risk assessment map and implement control measures

Relevant Experience and Education
o Licensed Electrical Engineer
o Member of good standing in a government-recognized professional organization in the Philippines
o Minimum of 5 years solid experience in building equipment operation, maintenance, installation and repair in a facility similar in size as SM Retail
