The Strategy Intermediate Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.
Responsibilities:
Headcount Control Management and Reporting
Provide weekly variance analysis on HC movement, requisition control, generation of monthly HC reports
Analyze MTD & YTD movements in both costs and headcount and business reasons, provide analytical insights into issues and concerns, escalate issues and propose management actions to mitigate risks
Analysis of monthly actuals against budget
Identifying primary drivers for cost movements and variances observed, and ensuring recovery and costs are close to budgeted numbers and plan
Management and governance of the Reengineering Book of Work
Monthly Business Re-engineering Review with FRSS Center Head and Reporting Operations Managers
Weekly Productivity status of Re-engineering BOW initiatives by providing timely information on Productivity Target vs. identified $ saves
Governance and validation of all Productivity Data before preparing month end reports for the Senior Leadership Team
Lead the Productivity target planning on the cost follows cost model for saves.
Support the CSS Common Capabilities Financials team in preparing Senior Leadership presentations for Plan, MYF and Outlook
Qualifications:
5 years of experience in a financial institution or shared services
Ability to synthesize large complex data, derive meaningful insights, and articulate a solution that meets senior requirements.
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Strong analytical skills, self-motivated and drive towards new ideas and improvements.
Collaborative, works effectively with others and builds relationships to achieve common goals
Results-oriented, works towards agreed upon goals in a timely manner and sets priorities to constructively address needs of stakeholders and ensure timely delivery
Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication
Ability to interact with senior management
Pro-active self-starter with the ability to work independently and multi-task under tight deadlines
Education:
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
