The Sr. Business Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for the overall administrative activities of a business. These tasks may include contribution to external audits, business continuity activities or addressing regulatory issues. The Sr. Business Analyst may assist in activities such as the tracking of business financials, managing employee headcount or coordination of other administrative needs. May work on ad hoc projects as requested.
Responsibilities:
Summarize budgets and submit recommendations for the approval or disapproval of funds requests
Analyze monthly department budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure controls
Review budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformity with procedures and regulations
Monitor the preparation of regular and special budget reports
Provide advice and technical assistance with cost analysis and fiscal allocation
Analyze budgetary/accounting data and provide financial recommendations
Gather and verify accuracy of financial records
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of business analysis experience required
Experience creating documentation within standard development methodology
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Education:
Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Markets and Securities Services CSC Manila is an integral part of the Senior Business Management team in Markets & Securities Services. The function of the team is to maintain the control environment within the business where appropriate, to oversee enhancements and to formulate processes to address various internal and external control policies.
The successful candidate will assist and manage initiatives, revenue and expense management & risk and control process for APAC Markets Investor Sales business
Key Responsibilities:
Assist and help business development and strategic initiatives for the Pan Asia Investor Sales businesses
Work closely with Investor Sales Desk Heads and Regional Investor Sales Business Unit Manager (BUM) in reviewing business performance
Prepare monthly management reports and business strategy presentations for senior management
Assist in expense management / analytics and review
Key participant at the HK and SG BRCC meetings representing APAC Investor Sales
Assist APAC GIS BUM in regulatory projects / tech projects / business initiatives
Assist & monitor risk & control for the Investor Sales businesses and implement control procedures
Assist in internal audit and regulatory reviews across the region
Drive APAC GIS COO Markets & Securities Services (M&SS) initiatives sponsored by APAC M&SS COO
Be pro-active in identifying issues and implementing recommendations/solutions to senior management
Be a key resource for coordination and execution of tasks for the AP Markets Investor Sales businesses
Develop knowledge on the market-place, industries and clients
Track performance of countries/products against goals, providing at minimum monthly feedback as to results and areas of improvement.
Focus on legal, regulatory, political or other general market developments that may have adverse implications on the Firm's position or customer relationships and/or general business standing of the Firm.
Alert management to such changes and help draw and implement strategies to counter the negative impact of these changes
