The Business Analyst will support the development and growth of the analytics model and support the procurement organization with the researching, organizing, compiling, analyzing, tracking and reporting of financial information and data. This position also applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information for the Non-Employee reporting function within the Resource Management Organization (RMO). This position works closely across the organization as a key contributor to strategy development and execution, and requires good analytical skills to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required.
Job Description
Partner with regional Sourcing teams and their strategies through the provision of financial analysis and interpretation particularly as it relates to vendor spend across Citi's regions, businesses, and functions.
Collaborate with Sourcing regional teams on a variety of projects that encompass high volumes of financial spend and savings related information and support the achievement of save targets. Support RFx and eAuction events with robust, detailed financial analysis from inception to close and presenting results in a logical, actionable, and easy to understand formats. This includes identifying and clarifying strengths and weaknesses of suppliers and their financial health.
Support the sourcing organization to review projects savings and deal documentation ensuring calculations and forecasts are aligned with internal savings guidelines.
Independently deals with most problems and has some latitude to solve complex problems.
Makes judgments based on the analysis of factual information. Interprets data and results through the use of professional judgment.
Utilizes developed communication and diplomacy skills to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information.
Supports the business with identifying potential solutions to make a process more efficient and apply possible technology solutions to achieve straight through processing.
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
Partner with team to implement solutions and analysis tools in MS Excel and MS Access that will allow for data to be analyzed, summarized and reported in tables, charts, and graphs.
Qualification Requirements:
English: Advanced
BA or 2-5 years of relevant financial and analytical experience
Advanced MS Excel and Beginner/Intermediate Access, VBA and SQL; Beginner SQL Server Mgmt Studio; Knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, and Tableau, a plus
Motivated self-starter that takes initiative and has the ability to effectively organize, multi-task and prioritize a wide array of projects
Ability to work accurately in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with tight timeframes
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Customer service orientation and leadership/influencing skills
Navigates effectively in a changing environment where competing priorities require flexibility
