The QTS Intermediate Analyst for CCAR will be primarily responsible for testing prioritized reports, as well as providing support in the end-to-end process of the planning, scoping, sampling, and observation validation steps as required. This analyst will support the team's senior analysts on the QTS work requirements, partnering with CCAR use case owners, Functional Chief Data Officers (FCDOs) and Global Functions Technology (GFT) to adopt and execute transaction testing cycles and ensure adherence to the Transaction Testing Operating Model.
Success for this analyst is to effectively and efficiently support testing cycles aligned to the Transaction Testing Multi Year Plan and Operating Model, predominantly testing data reported to regulators match to their original source values, and conform to reporting requirements, and to identify areas which may require stronger data quality controls or compensating measures.
Key Responsibilities:
The analyst will participate in on-going transaction testing for identified priority reports across multiple products:
Review products and related data elements used for CCAR reporting, to ensure integrity and soundness of reporting
Partner closely with Corporate & Regulatory Reporting, Enterprise Chief Data Office, Data Governance Officers, and Regulatory Report Owners
Participate in reviews, identify issues and exceptions, assist in the preparation of executive quality reports, and communicate effectively to leaders
Participate in other product reviews as determined by lead
Reviews will include, but not limited to: Transaction Testing, evaluation of acquired source documentation by the FCDOs, and document mapping linkage of data elements to source documentation
Support the planning, scoping, sampling, and observation validation processes, as necessary and determined by lead
Support the team's senior analysts and leads in ensuring our partners in GFT, Business Technology, Report Owners, FCDOs and external consultants are aligned to the transaction testing cycles and the Transaction Testing Operating Model
Ensure testing results are in accordance with the regulatory principles for reporting
Identify issues and exceptions, assist in the production of analysis and insights on review findings
Ensure adherence to relevant policies, standards and operating procedures pertaining to QTS E2E Process
Additional Responsibilities may include:
Support process transformation, Consent Order initiative and automation opportunities.
Support the standardization of Citi's Transaction Testing Operating Model, Cycle Execution and Work Papers
Support Internal Audit, ICRM, ORM and Regulatory testing reviews for CCAR reports
Support on ad hoc, special requests and project management
The ideal candidate will have the following education, knowledge and experience:
Bachelors / University Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
2 + years of relevant work experience in Finance, Accounting, Risk or Product Control, preferably at large financial institution
Working knowledge of financial products would be an advantage
Experience in Quality Assurance and / or Regulatory Reporting in financial services a plus
CPA certification and/or audit experience would be an advantage.
Good organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, aligned with excellent attention to detail and time management
Strong analytical skills combined with the ability to communicate (oral and written) clearly to deliver analyses in a concise and logical manner.
Experience in working with colleagues /partners across multiple regions and business segments to deliver in a global organization.
Adaptable, flexible, agile and able to respond to changes in priorities.
