Data Quality Intermediate Analyst Description
The Data Quality Intermediate Analyst is a seasoned professional role and will have responsibility for executing, analyzing, and reporting on data quality scorecards, which is a critical function within the DMO Data Stewardship Support organization conducting data quality measurement.
The Data Quality Intermediate Analyst will be responsible for downloading assessments and dispositioning metrics that appear on the scorecards for various Global Functions and Businesses in support of Regulatory requirements deliverables. These activities require coordination with the Global Functions and Businesses and their technology partners to identify and re-mediate Data Quality scorecard issues and provide subject matter expertise through this process. Specific duties will include but are not limited to the following activities:
Responsibilities:
Download and analyze data quality assessments and measurement of Critical Data Elements (CDEs) utilized by Citi strategic systems and processes supporting Citi Global Functions and Businesses.
Responsible for the reviewing, analyzing and dispositioning of the results of those measurements as well as providing detail and summary reporting of the same.
Accountable for understanding and documenting systems, data flows and data quality rules driven from the profiling and assessments of critical data.
Analyze data quality issues.
Interact with a multidisciplinary group of business leads, operations managers, and technologists who support the Global Functions and Businesses, ensuring the data quality scorecards are correctly measuring critical data against fit for purpose criteria and identified metric breaks are resolved.
Lead discussions and reporting sessions, reaching consensus and recommending solutions on issues and projects.
Test features and functionality in planned software releases as needed.
Support requirements for ongoing reporting and audit deliverables as needed.
Act as an engaged member of the team, working closely with the Project Manager in ensuring deliverables are met as required.
Assists in the remediation of Audit and Regulatory feedback on the data quality program.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of Financial Services Industry, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Compliance (ICRM), Consumer Banking, Private Banking, et cetera, including Data Quality principles and practices.
Experience with capturing data requirements with models and data flows.
Good understanding of Project Management, Software Development Life Cycle and documentation/technical writing techniques
Proven ability to ask probing questions and obtain thorough and relevant information.
Experience coordinating with other teams/resources.
Ability to collaborate effectively with team and cross-functional team members.
Strong analytical and research skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret data quality rules and identify violations of said rules.
Proven time management skills are necessary. Must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities [or tasks], deliver timely and accurate work products with a customer service focus, and respond with a sense of urgency as required.
Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and strong problem solving skills.
Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and data processing skills. Proven ability to follow detailed instructions is essential, along with proven problem solving skills.
