OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSE
Job Summary
A Company Nurse (CN) provides timely and quality health care services to all employees in the workplace and implement the company's health program.
The Safety Officer (SO) ensures a safe and accident free work environment in accordance with the company's safety program and government mandated safety regulations.
Job Responsibilities
A. Company Nurse:
1. Provide Basic Health Care to all employees.
2. Administers first aid to work place illness and injuries.
3. Maintains an accurate medical case records.
4. Organizes and conducts health care awareness training and seminars.
5. Organizes and conducts home visits on employees who reported sick and on sick leave.
6. Coordinates with the Rural Health Unit (RHU) on local and national health issues.
7. Assist the company physician for consultation of employees and their needs.
8. Document all employee injury and illness and keep this information confidential.
9. Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned to them.
B. Safety Officer
1. Maintains and apply knowledge of current and latest health and safety protocols, policies, regulations including constructions and industrial process.
2. Acts as an advisor to the Health, Safety and Security Manager on matters pertaining to safety.
3. Coordinates and conducts safety orientation, emergency drills and seminars to all employees.
4. Conducts periodic safety inspections, hazards and risk identification to prevent and minimize work place accidents and injuries.
5. Reviews existing policies and measures and update according to legislation
6. Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)
7. Investigate and report work place accident and injuries and formulate recommendations.
8. Provides assistance to the government agency during the inspection related to safety programs.
9. Submits report to management or concerned related to CCTV
10. Submits monthly and annual report to any government institution.
Performs other duties and functions as required by Health, Safety and Security Manager
Job Qualification
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College degree and a Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Nursing or equivalent.
• Must be a registered nurse with an active PRC license
• BOSH (Basic Occupational Safety and Health) certification is preferred
• With experience in related field for 1-2 years
• With knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
• Experience for writing reports and policies for health and safety
• Proficient in computer application
• With good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Strong attention to details
• Systematic and organized
• Hardworking, honest and responsible
• Willing to work in San Rafael, Bulacan
