Job Description
Nutrition Technology Lead would be responsible for setting quality standards based on the technical needs or requirement for sourcing/purchasing of ingredients, new product development, customer experience and laboratory assays to support Nutrition system programs in collaborations with Technical Leads, QA Operations and QA Corporate Policy Heads.
Recommends systems, standards and practices to support quality of raw material and finished products based on technical & regulatory needs and for accuracy & precision of analysis
Conducts mill audit, provides recommendations for process improvement and compliance report on application of set standards
Performs supplier audits, provides recommendation and support data to stakeholders (QA Operations, Purchasing) for disposition
Provides recommendation on specifications for the purchases of laboratory chemicals and test equipment
Provides necessary training for all matters related to quality control and quality assurance
Recommends development of new laboratory assays
Serves as a resource person for any quality assurance and quality control inquiries from stakeholders (internal & external customers) and helps in resolving quality related problems
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
Ensures implementation of and adherence to company policies
Recommends training interventions, promotion, and commendation of team members
Provides motivation, guidance and coaching for team members depending on evaluation results
Performs administrative functions on the conduct of duties
Prepare and develop a succession plan to secure the stability of the department
Qualifications
EDUCATION
A licensed Chemistry or Chemical Engineer, Microbiologist or Food Technologist
WORK EXPERIENCE:
At least ten (10) years work experience in Quality Assurance for feed manufacturing operations
