DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Medical Responsibilities
Administer outpatient clinic consultation and perform nursing care procedures or medical treatment within the scope of the professional, ethical, and legal standards of the Philippine Nursing Profession. If extensive examination is needed, refer patient to physician for further medical management
Deliver appropriate first-aid treatment to patients for any medical condition or occupational-related illnesses/injuries
Manage the issuance of appropriate medicines/medical supplies to requesting employees
Implement the Company's medical policies
Assist the Retainer Physician in the health examination of employee
Maintain to optimum working condition the Clinic's facilities, medical equipment and devices
Health Risk Management
Review and evaluate with the Retainer Physician the results of the Pre-Employment Medical Examination of applicants and the Annual Physical Examination of employees to determine fit-to-work status and recommend further test or medical treatment, when necessary
Collaborate with the Retainer Physician with regard to administering the health and wellness programs of the Company
Recommend guidelines and policies for maintaining a safe and hygienic work place
Perform periodic inspection and audit of the working environment that may affect the health and well-being of the workers in order to improve or maintain optimum occupational health and safety
Business Transaction
Coordinate with other organizations in promoting health and wellness activities in the Company, such as bloodletting programs and health education seminars
Cross-functional Performance
Coordinate with the HR Department on the referral of any medical case to a more advanced medical facility involving Company officers or employees, when necessary
Review and submit for approval to HR employees' DES for the availment of medical/dental health benefits
Coordinate with other HSSED staff in the formulation of health- or medical-related policies and guidelines
Conduct trainings and seminars related to the maintenance or improvement of health, safety and wellness of employees
Reporting
Prepare required documentation/incident report in relation to the medical condition of employees involved in occupational related illnesses/injuries
Conduct periodic inventory of medicines and medical supplies and accordingly prepare the request for replenishment as needed
Update the medical records of employees, ensuring the encoding and transferring of all medical records of PNOC EC personnel to the Clinic's database system
Prepare reports related to the daily transactions of the Medical Clinic such as utilization reports of services, medicines and supplies availed by the employees on a monthly basis, or as needed
Prepare and analyze statistical reports on prevalent illnesses, medicine consumption, daily consultation, sick leave availment of employees and make recommendations on how to address health-related problems in the workplace
Continuous Improvement/ Other Responsibilities
Review and recommend revisions and updates on the Company's medical policies
Keep abreast of industry-related developments and best practices with regard to worker well-being and health and recommend possible adaptations applicable for the Company
Perform other necessary and related tasks for the achievement of the unit's and organization's goals.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of BS Nursing and a Registered Nurse
Two (2) years related work experience as Occupational Health Nurse or Company Nurse
Trained in First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS)
Excellent customer service orientation; computer-literate; medical records management
